Happy Summer Still Families!

Still Elementary has some great volunteer opportunities available for the upcoming school year.  Please read the positions available and contact Bridget Guité (bkguite@yahoo.com) if you’re interested in participating or if you have any questions.

Reflections Chair Person:
Reflections is a national arts recognition and achievement program for students.  This program increases community awareness of the importance of the arts in education and encourages children to express themselves artistically.  A volunteer is needed to organize the Reflections Art Contest.   This includes advertising the contest at our school, collecting and displaying the art work at the school, registering the art work online with the Georgia PTSA, and organizing a reception at the school to celebrate our participants and award winners.

Red Ribbon Week Chair Person:
The mission of Red Ribbon Week is to lead and support communities in nurturing the full potential of healthy, drug free youth.  Our school participates with a week long program that educates our children about the dangers of using drugs and drug abuse.  A volunteer is needed to work with our school counselor to help organize the events for the week and order necessary supplies.  This is scheduled for the week of 10/24-10/28.

Spring Variety Show Co-Chair Person:
Our students are encouraged to show off their talents every year in a Variety Show!  A volunteer is needed to work with a Still Staff member to help organize this event. Responsibilities include, under direction of the staff member, to advertise the event to the students, help facilitate tryouts & rehearsals, help organize and execute the Show.

** At the beginning of the school year, a list of names will be provided of people who would like to help with above events but are unable to serve as Chair.

Thank you Still Families & we look forward to hearing from you!
